Have you verified the height of the stopper?
yeah - I think its possibly the mounting of the hood itself - not the little round black stopper thingy - many years back I was in a fender bender - my fault - and damaged a little bit of the front - needed new grill and the metal housing for the indicator lights..... my suspicion is possibly its how the hood mounts to the engine bay - just need to play a little.... passenger side is fine - DS is lifted slightly

New block gettin prepped for paint!
Interesting find on this one they stamped the bearing numbers on the top of the block? Never seen that before! Assuming Toyota didn’t think this would affect the HG sealing surface as it’s in an area with no passages or at least far enough away it won’t cause an issue.

Installed an Optima Red Top 34R (more cold cranking amps, better stability off road, but less amo hours) in preparation for dual batteries and the winch. The tray was old and torn (particularly at the j-hook), and only two viable screws holding it down. So, I got a new factory tray (since I was getting a new one for the second battery, it seemed like a good idea), found all six bolt connections - although I had to thread chase a couple of locations, and secured this billet tray. I swapped out for military style terminal, got new grommets, and finally got a new fusible link. The fusible link was connected to a frayed crimp and hidden.

And I did this to fit some lights in my FB marketplace bumper.

Like anything else in the cruiser world, this is an educated guess and a shot in the dark on this lift. But the old lift had to go, all of it, so this at least gives me a solid platform once up and running to play around with and find what I really like. I will certainly be giving updates as all the changes happen!
My buddy runs some of this kit, has both hyper flex arms, as well as the shocks. Truck rides nice and flex’s amazing. Maybe he will chime in @Jason Andrews

While I am waiting on parts to arrive, I decided to remove the interior and put down sound deadening mat and foam. Phase one is complete as of today, as I now have all the carpet out and the old mat that was stuck to the floor removed. I need to clean and wipe down everything a couple of times to make sure it is good and clean and then can start laying down the mat.

Looks like a loose change paradise. 😂. Think I found close to $3 worth when I did mine (including some pesos)

Reinstalling my ABS for hydroboost. Cleared codes 31, 32, 33 and kept getting stuck on ABS error 35.

Chased the ohms to the break and used solder tube to repair. So annoying. 🙄

Tip for anyone repairing ABS wires. Toyota has two 16 AWG wires inside a single cable that’s 10 AWG. Need to open the outer jacket to get to the two wires.

As promised here are pictures of my battery upgrade. I am now running Optima group 31T batteries for my house and starter.

At the same time I replaced the low side power steering lines using 3/8 and 5/8 Parker push-lok using the OE Toyota hose clamps.

The plan of the rest of the 3/8 line is to replace all the transmission cooler soft lines.

You should consider rotating the the passenger side battery so that the positive terminal is not close the the fender or hood. The battery terminals are in the center of the battery so fitment is not an issue. Have to redo your cables but it would be a much safer installation.
