Finally after ordering F&R ARB lockers from East Coast GS I'm getting around to installing them.
Started with the rear. Never set one up before so this will be interesting.
One thing I noticed was all the youtube vids and threads here show different looking carriers which made removing the ring gear difficult.
Yep, mine has an LSD diff. Simple as disassembling and ring came off.

3rd members and ARB are super easy. Good diff to be your first.

Is this a thing? Please tell me more.

It is but it isn’t.

I finally figured out how to hang window curtains inside BIG Betty:

Whole bunch of other baselining happening on this one too.

Cheers

Took the family up to Laikipia in central Kenya to camp with some friends, see some wildlife and make some memories. The kids wanted to be on the roof most of the dirt and off-road time (and at night in the tent safe from the animals).
This new to me 80 is fresh out of Rift Valley Rovers' shop where it got a new suspension, tires, respray, leather seat-covers and windshield. It handled the bush as well as the mostly paved backroads on the way up. First trip in the book and we're all loving it.
