How big a tire you need to do that route? If any of you all find yourselves in Kentucky, I recommend wheeling the DBBB (Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway).
I was on 35s. Some were running 37s. But the dude in front of me was running 33s and open diffs in a second gen Sequoia. He gunned it and beat his truck, but he made it through. How big a tire you need to do that route?
Thanks for the info. KY is very underrated. I’ve been there a couple times and I’m always impressed by what I see.I was on 35s. Some were running 37s. But the dude in front of me was running 33s and open diffs in a second gen Sequoia. He gunned it and beat his truck, but he made it through.
Trail conditions change a LOT if it’s rained. “Easy” trails get hard in a hurry.
There are lots of gravel trails too.
Check out the tube for stock vehicle trails as well. There are plenty.
I’m biased… lol. But yes, there’s lots to see here. Thanks for the info. KY is very underrated. I’ve been there a couple times and I’m always impressed by what I see.
Looks like a nice clean head unit, did you upgrade the door speakers as well?Upgraded the sound system with a Pioneer wireless apple car play on my 97 LX450.
Also added a compact powered Kicker 10" down firing subwoofer and a Pioneer backup camera.
I just needed a good deep bass and this Kicker is so much more than I wanted. And it's easy to remove the sub with simple quick disconnect wiring harness.
All professionally installed. Love it!!

I replaced the factory door speakers with Pioneer about 2 years ago with a Sony head unit. I spilled some hot chai on the Sony and the buttons stopped working. That's why I put a new Pioneer head unit. The Pioneer speakers are 3-way speakers and it's a perfect match with the new head unit. I did not bypass the the OEM amp so that I can still connect to the OEM midrange speakers. With the factory sound deadening insulation on my LX450, this setup sounds really good now.Looks like a nice clean head unit, did you upgrade the door speakers as well?

Yeap. Guilty, your honor!Your broke rule # 27 of the land cruiser owner manual.
No hot chai allowed in land cruisers.

Cruisers and Company did a shake down by driving the newly installed OBD1 Turbo build from CO to CA- Terrain Tamer event
@efjayatee I'd love to hear more about the OBD1 Turbo!
What kind of mileage do you have on your rig? I'm guessing a mix of age and mileage leads to the compression. I've got really low miles, but you have me thinking I'll have to take a look tomorrow and see what mine look like.Changed out the body mounts on the '95. It was time..
