Yep!That’s some solid PM. I also lined up my new alternator belts. And after the first start one of them slipped and they are no longer lined up. Did yours slip at first start?
Ha! Glad I’m not the only one!
Me four.Same here @harrydunn & @Surfdc
Didn’t realize this something anyone even cared/worried about.
I didn't either until someone mentioned it a few days ago. Say you get 5-10 hp for belt part number marking alignment.Didn’t realize this something anyone even cared/worried about.![]()

I’m not going to bother. I’ll be switching to a serpentine belt sometime soon anyway.![]()
Thanks. I have most of the parts collected but it’s still a ways off.6BT. Noice.
If that hose went, more will likely follow.Previous weekend I was headed home from YNP and all of a sudden steam erupted (like a geyser) from under the hood. I was able to pull over immediately, and see a trail of coolant on the pavement.
Had the vehicle towed home and found the water by pass hose had ripped just before the clamp where it connects on the lower end of the hose into the block.
So, this weekend I was able to obtain a new hose from the closest dealership. Replaced that hose this weekend. But, also found the overflow coolant tank had a pink colored fluid in it, so started to flush the cooling system.

Yep. Replace them all.If that hose went, more will likely follow.
Yeah, it’s only takes one though. I’ve learned the hard way myself.I was wondering about that, so I have been checking out the other hoses.
The engine had been worked on in July 2023 (HG issue) and a lot of the hoses were replaced. The engine has had approx. 9000 miles put on since the engine work so I was surprised to see a hose go. Looking at the hose after I took it off it seems it was not an OEM hose. I think the shop cut some hose and put it on? It did not have the bends in it the OEM one I replaced it with did. Not sure if that would be an issue that would cause a rip? Maybe too short and tension on the hose?
Yup, people worry about the PHH, but that little one that runs to the TB plus others can bite you just as hard, and rarely get any attention. When you replace them, get the proper spring tension clamps too from MrT...get rid of those sorry worm gear clamps that don't work well on the small hoses no matter what.Yeah, it’s only takes one though. I’ve learned the hard way myself.
