Finally installed the Lutz speed-o-meter calibration unit. Took about 15min do it including the test drive and 5 min trying to find my tube of RTV sealant.

17 “up” clicks and now she’s dead on accurate.

I need to do this. As much as I love math, constantly doing mental corrections gets annoying at least 10% is easy head numbers....

trial and error would work equally as well for those that are mathematically challenged.

IMO… probably the best $115 you can spend if you have put larger wheels/tires on your 80 (and apparently it also works on 70/75/100 series as well)

I've been happy with NAPA rotors and pads.

Rock Auto normally has decent options in stock, but yes NAPA's best stuff is comparable to OEM and is plenty good in my experience

I typically buy EBC Greenstuff pads for all of my vehicles, including the DD sedan, and the rotors are usually NAPA premium. This combo has worked out well for me.

When it comes to rotors for Toyota vehicles, I only go for OEM. Pads are a different story. I usually get those from Autozone.

Swapped out one spot light for a driving light. Apparently finding the correct covers for these Hella 7" round lights is not as easy as we anticipated. Crickets from Hella and affiliated suppliers. So, protective yellow Laminex film it is!
