Found out why the truck I bought had lost oil pressure!!!! Broken harmonic balancer do to the crank bolt coming loose it was hand tight!!!! When they installed the super charger pulley someone didn’t follow torque specs!!

I finished up installing the cabin air filter from Outsane and Solve Function. Snapped right on. I also did a slight coating of Fluid Film as I was seeing some surface rust.

I decided to get rid of some rust on the back of the windshield wiper arms since I had them off. Just 2 coats of grey primer followed by some rustoleum flat black.

Thanks @CrabCake , it's been a labor of love. My Labs rear bumper is a DIY kit that we built so can't confirm that the rear crossmember depth is exactly the same as you would receive from Luke and the crew in the shop. We fabbed with the plan of catching that rear cross member for the rear flange of the aux tank mount rather than utilizing the included crossmember from LRA. It's right on the edge of the 2x2 but was able to catch it square - drill two through holes and grabbed some ~80mm bolts to use with the included nylocks. Call Labs or message Luke and let him know that you're planning to run the LRA tank and they'll make the necessary adjustments (minor, if any) on the depth of the crossmember to accommodate the LRA tank. I chatted with them a couple of times before pulling the trigger on ordering.

LRA tank install is pretty straight forward. Double and triple check all of your plumbing connections, plumbing layout (minimizing sharp angles/kinks), location of the pump is key, wiring is generally straight forward, and eat your Wheaties in the morning so you can lift the tank into place for final mounting. Having a buddy available for extra muscle and another set of eyes/hands is optimal. Oh, and buy a knockout tab for the dash from @Outsane - super clean solution for the gauge mounting into one of the dash knockout plates. We made a couple of adjustments along the way for a shortcoming or two with the kit but I'm generally running all of the included components. There's a good thread or two on recent installs/commentary for pump location and other general guidance. Shoot me a PM and I can send you some links if you haven't already done some digging.

It's like a lot of other things on the 80 - could do the next one in half the time once you know what you know now.

Removed the side molding
A buddy at work gave me some 33" BFGs that I put on some stock wheels. What an improvement! I was happy to get rid of the 4runner wheels and the 1.25" spacers.
Went wheeling at Truck Haven out near Salton Sea. This is my first trip in the 80 and the most extreme off roading I've done. The 80 is a beast, I'm more impressed than I was before. Confidence shot up about 1000%. Made a few mistakes, Scratched the bumper and jacked the alignment, ABS light came on on the ride home, new brakes incoming as the rears were practically dead before the trip.
Lots of random stuff out there, fire hydrants, basket ball hoop, tedder totter. It was a great day... and the wife enjoyed it too!

Draining my coolant so I can replace my valve cover gasket. Will put new spark plugs and wires, distributor o ring, rotor, and cap along the way and topping it off with toyota red.

Oh and I might replace the 284k old PHH while the cooling system is empty.

Highly recommend that and the intake manifold hose if their history is unknown. For that matter, heater valve and all the other hoses against the firewall.

Nice. I got a set of those recently too. Was a little disappointed that they measured very small for a 37 but otherwise I've like them so far.

Farm duty as a chainsaw support vehicle. Had an oak blow down that needed to be cut up. Used the winch to lift a section of trunk for cutting and also winched a large limb out of a tree that took the brunt of the downed oak.

yup. I replaced all of the coolant hoses last year but I didn't get to the two hoses: PHH and the one between throttle body to the engine block.

If you are feeling a bit more ambitious it's not hard to pull the upper intake and make everything under there much easier to access. Valve cover gasket will be easier, all of the vacuum lines, throttle body coolant hose and PHH. Even the fuel filter is right there.
