175 lbs. Truck is too tall for people to lift it up there. Plus with this ramp system I can do it solo without bothering or coordinating with others even if that method was safe.
I married a power lifter and force her to help me with Land Cruiser stuff, but to each their own =)

Is she well over 6 feet tall? As I have said repeatedly, it’s a height issue not a weight issue.

Was playing in my yard and realized my CDL switch wasn't working

I put the ole girl in low range and matted the gas a few times and loosened it up.

Then I realized my slip yoke is spraying grease all over

That's just a rust proofing dispenser.

Nothing wrong with using a ramp as mechanical advantage to load the RTT. As you pointed out, sometimes the convenience of doing it on your own far outweighs the percieved convenience of getting friends to lift something by brute force. Lifting something that high that is big and bulky could easily damage your vehicle or yourself/friends if something slips.

Just keep track of who is giving you a hard time and give them a friendly jab back when they post getting stuck and use a winch or traction boards to get out :) We all like giving eachother a hard time - "Why did you use a winch - don't you have any friends to come push you out?" "oh you only had five friends, I have a hundred friends who are power lifters to push me out when I get stuck :grinpimp:"

If you're not winching at least now and then, you're probably not pushing yourself hard enough. I happily post epically stuck (and broken ) pics.

I also wheel with Jeeps. They're on the hook constantly.

When I winch I hook onto my friends rig

When I winch, I just have my friend hold the end of the hook. He's a strong man champion and doesn't budge when planted. It makes it very convenient since I can place him where ever is best for winching instead of having to look for the best tree or move vehicles around as anchor points.

Exactly, this is a very controlled and therefore safe situation. Four 16 foot 2x4’s are also way cheaper than any type of lifting contraption.

Not sure why I’ve been getting such a hard time about this? I turn all my own wrenches and do all my own mods. 1/2 the people on here likely can’t do any of that. 🙄

We're off work, bored, the BBQs haven't started for the 4th yet and we're 3 drinks in.

Consider it a compliment besides, you had shown your soft white underbelly when replying. Like any predator, especially MUD predators, they can't resist the temptation to attack. Kind of like a bull with a red flag or vampires with blood....

That's my style of wheelin
That's mobbing Szechuan style! I know my wife is chinese. Not too many MUD-boomers do that!
(And I'm not referring to you @leonard_nemoy. I like your posts, man!)

I've seen the results of some people who turn their own wrenches. It's not always a flex.
