Looks pretty good! With it being all one piece how difficult is it to remove?
It's in 3 pieces on the top with a few wood screws, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I understand that the shackles' bolts are pointing down to allow the rear door to be opened fully, but vibrations could open those bolts.
I would suggest using shackles that are secured with safety pins instead of bolts.
A shackle should be loosened 1/8th if a turn to prevent seizingThey haven't opened up in 5 yrs so it's not really an issue. I tighten the bolts up pretty good to keep them secure.
That's a good feeling, pick up day.
What's your caster at?

But....That's for when you're actually using it during recovery. When it's not being used and just sitting there, it's just a bolt. You guys are overthinking this.

Have to give a big thanks to @lumbee1 and son, @4LowandSlow, and @BILT4ME for their help and always helping. And a special thanks to @fourtrax for doing 99.9% of the work.
The first power steering cooler had a leak from the factory and threads didn't seal. Replaced that last night. That was the final piece that was holding us up.

I crank my to 90 ft/lbs. Makes them hard to steal! We always loosened them when stores too.
But as I said, I wouldn't have it just hanging there, begging to be stolen.
I wish I could have done more to help.Recently got back from a deployment, so the last few weekends other MUD members and I have been putting my engine back together. . With a few upgrades.

You will likely identify the source of that growling noise with a set of chasis ears. It removes the need for trial and error and therefore reduces your potential spending.Recently got back from a deployment, so the last few weekends other MUD members and I have been putting my engine back together. . Looks good, no wheel spacers? Liking the tires so far?Lame pic, but 315/75/R16 Maxxis Razr MT installed this morning. I installed the Dobinsons 2.5" MRR lift and VT springs, bumper, Warn Evo and ARB Solis lights over the last couple of weeks. Rides really nice.

Before I left, I also bought new rear adjustable upper control arms and transfer case rebuild. . So still have to do those things. But yes, I need to do that and stop blindly chasing this issue. You will likely identify the source of that growling noise with a set of chasis ears.
