@Cass007 yikes, but cool you got it all back together so quickly.
I did the fuel filter a few weeks ago, mostly from underneath and a bit through the wheelwell. Maybe the 1" body lift made it easier.
I like the idea of your rig taking the 12mm socket as sacrificial offering. :bounce:

1" lift would make a good bit of difference for the fender well imo.

Oh, just got back from getting the LX, had my son drive me to pick it up in his 80 Series that I just had painted for him a couple of months ago .... he did this as he was turning around in the driveway, with me in the truck with him.

He forgot the truck was in reverse and then stabbed the gas, panicked when it went the wrong way and hit it again. Awesome .... :bang:

Plus he scratched up the bumper on his truck too.

Belt moldings. I'd say it was a little bit overdue

Took the LX for state inspection and the garage told me I had a significant fuel leak from the #1 injector ... I have no sense of smell (not Covid related) and could not smell the fuel, but could see it streaming out once I knew where to look. Lesson learned, if you do your head gasket and notice the truck taking longer than normal to start while cranking it, start looking for a fuel leak.

An entire head gasket re-build taken down by this ...

Disassembled everything needed to replace the o-ring, luckily I saved the old ones as just in case. Took me 2.5 hours to get the washers and banjo bolt back into the fuel filter, such a tight fit from up top and I don't know whose arms could fit in from the wheel well or what knuckle dragger can reach it from their back underneath either.

Once the upper plenum was back on the hard part is over and goes quickly ... except when you accidentally pull off the 12mm socket from the extension when tightening the lower throttle body bolts and the socket disappears into the abyss and doesn't hit the floor. Took the TB back off and looked for it from all angles ... GONE. It belongs to the truck now. I will let it keep it as a trophy for surviving the repair process.

Just got the call now that it is done and passed inspection now. It's been down almost a year for repairs. Hoping it lasts a good long time again now
I'll bet it's on top of the starter........

Better than hitting the pillar between the garage doors.... glass half full way of looking at it.:meh:

80 vs semi.........

Hope this wasn't a MUDDER....

It can happen to anyone. I got my drivers license in 1972. I have never dented a garage door with a vehicle until about a year ago. I backed out with my Landcruiser with the door still down. OOPS! I very carefully straightened it back out and it opens fine. Just a few small dents left over. :)

Last night got back into my driver's side suspension for the new coils...spent way too long fighting to get the nut off the bottom of the OME shock. After buying a strap wrench to stop it from turning I finally go the nut off...yikes! That's not going back on. I'm not sure what caused the problem, although I did see what looked like blue loctite on the inside of the nut once I got it off...I had soaked it for two days with PB Blaster but it was still a bear. The PO had a shop install these shocks as part of a 2.5" OME kit about five years ago, so no idea if they gorilla'd it or what. Oh well.

Was my first time using this cheap LED light I got off Amazon, have to say I'm super happy with that as a worklight. Was going to spend 4x as much for a Milwaukee but this thing seems useful for camping too. 👍

-Welded all my flare holes closed.

Nice work - If you haven't already, get some paint on the back side of those welds - mine rusted reasonably quickly and it sits inside, out of the rain and in the south.

Monstalined with 3yo product, bad idea..... stuff sets up so damn fast and textures so many blobs, but i am sure ill end up with more body damage running around at night with night vision on running ir light pods. Texture isn’t for everyone nor me, but its better looking to me than it was.

painted the door handles with automotive single stage paint after sanding and priming. Hope it lasts a while.

sliders are next on the list, gotta design them though. Might make fender arches that follow the curve of the fender exactly, kinda like those arb ones from aus. I would make them bolt in to my front and rear bumper and tie into the siders. Not sure if id like the look, but like the protection.

Hey not for everyone, but it has a purpose. Nice job on that front bumper. I’m sold on the WNOR sliders...ordering mine before the Christmas rush. How are you liking those tires? I loved the Falken AT3’s, but hadn’t heard as good a things about the MT’s...

Changed the Drag Link/ Tie Rod and all four tie rod ends. Purchase the Drag Link/ Tie Rod from Slee and Japanese 555 tie rod ends from @cruiseroutfit. Its cheaper to buy all new hardware and do it yourself, than take it too a shop and them using your old stuff.

@2fpower invited me to the Tornado Alley Cruiser's three day hangout next week, so put the ARB Awning and tent on the LC. Opened and closed the tent a few times to make sure it was all good and so I could remember how to pack it away.

Tomorrow (and the rest of the week) is suppose to be nice out, so I should spray the undercarriage with fluid film before they start adding more liquid salt on the streets.
Is this your first time using fluid film? I use it up here in Minnesota and it works excellent!

This will be the second time. I used it last year because of a recommendation from @ArmyFJ.

just to add my 2 cents on the Falkens...had them for a couple years here in Minnesota and have taken them west in all conditions and they are AWESOME!! If you are thinking about getting some don't hesitate. 285/75/16
I'm currently running MTR's and I like them but I'm going to be in an area that sees some snow in the winter soon. Wondering if an AT tire wouldn't be a better solution.
