I pulled my front driveshaft since I don't plan on wheeling for a little while and just commuting. Entirely sick of my front diff whine. I will be ordering hubs and a t-case spool in the next few weeks. Drove it to pick up dinner and it was nice and quiet and really don't notice much difference in how it drives.

Also finally adjusted my steering box. Seems a little better. I need to do the bearing on the firewall thing because I'm getting some movement there and I'm sure that's not helping steering feel.
If you have front diff whining, a part time kit won’t fix the problem.

Been wheeling a bit more this week. Shnebly Hill Road from Sedona to Flagstaff.
Note: if you don't want nightmares don't look at my last picture with the house and abandoned 60 Series.

Also, that house didn't look right, there was something "off", yes, I drove by it not thinking much, but something caught my eye--I couldn't catch it--I drove by it twice unintentionally and felt like there was someone watching me but I couldn't pinpoint from where. Yes, I was wearing my cowboy hat. Whew! I won't post this on the 100/200 series forum, they will pi$$ in their pleated salmon Le Tigre shorts.

Why not? I mean, I know it won't fix the actual problem but it will fix it for my purposes. I've been in it enough times to be confident it's strong for wheeling, the pattern just sucks for road use. Just pulling the driveshaft got rid of the whine. I really don't need AWD either so it's kind of a win-win.

Treating the symptom

Like I said, I'm good with that in this situation. Why do you care?

Because he is an airplane mechanic, different level of OCD! He even has those red “take off before flight” tags/pins on his 80! LOL

Installed a new Floyd-Bell piezo; painted the Disco cup holder to match the interior.

Ah, makes sense. If money was no object I would go ahead and do new gears and lockers and everything would be good, that's just not in the cards right now. Even so, I'd probably still want to go part time though after that so I'm just doing it backwards.

Tossed on my Delta Panhard Bracket. Panhard set to stock length. Took me 80 minutes as I fiddled with bolt/ spring interaction before finally cutting the bolt short. Oh and it’s a little time consuming to get the body and frame aligned solo. All in all a super easy job.

You can use a ratchet strap to move things around.

Always a numbers game.

Installed the Tough Dog RTC steering damper tonight. This thing is beefy! Thanks, Jason, for the great service. 😎

Hit that mount bracket with some steel it, and youll be good to go. Im thinking about putting my RTC back on because it was way better than the king stabilizer Im running now. only thing I didnt like was the yellow and then the yellow peeling off. But it worked well.

Thanks. It came a little chipped on the spring. I was thinking about a color change on it anyway. It definitely works, though. I like it!👍

I’m about to get my bumper sand blasted and have some steel it ready to go on it. Never used it before but from reviews it looks and sounds pretty tough. Any insight you could give me before I start painting?

Replaced the rear rotors and pads, and inspected why my hand brake doesn't work. Apparently the PO bent the passenger of the drum actuator so it's completely locked up, and won't allow for movement of the internal drum. Didn't bother fixing it, as it's been this way forever, but definitely a project for another day (and some scrapyard or hammer work to get a straight piece).

Not this weekend, but also replaced the struts in the hood and lift gate, and my new stereo arrives today!
