shadowsixniner - Are those Pioneer speakers a perfect fit? I'd like to change mine out.

John, I don't know about the '97, but in the '93 the shallow Pioneer 6.5" speakers fit right in - you have to use their covers, though

which wasn't a problem for us, since we had aftermarket speakers in there to begin with

I got them off Amazon

Yes, they are one of the few that fit with the stock grills still in place. They actually sound decent for what they are. I have about 50w RMS going to mine. Surprised they haven't blown.

Went wheeling...

Did a little wheeling at Windrock and got my first real body "damage" after getting the 80 a couple years ago. I removed the door panel and was able to pop out most of the dent. I guess I will search for a parted color matched door.

I had A+ Japanese Auto install a Sequoia 150 amp alternator in mine over the week.

So, during our Mojave Road trip, the rear gutter mount slid and gpt derailed. Then the whole weight of the basket (with a cooler and jerry cans) sat on the factory racks and finally gave in, and bore a 'lil hole on left rear, it was duct taped all the way home and finally found a time to work on it. De racked her and took the rust out, and cut a sheet metal and did some silicone around to seal it, then rivets came along. Did this to all four corners.

I don't have welding skills so this is the best I can do.... for now.

I met a guy that was willing to do the whole nine yards, take off head liner and weld but that takes a few days for him and I need the rig.

The look doesnt bother me, actually, it' just gives me the reason to monstaline her!

These were direct fit on mine even with the factory covers. They worked great for me...

holy crud! at least it was the roof and not the floor boards- imagine draggin -ss after seat falling through... wow- that is some serious corrosion going on there...

I got my 80 back from the undercoating place, where it got a complete treatment with 3 layers wax, oil and bitumen. That should keep me rust-free for the next 3 years. The treatment was done pre-aux tank, and then again some more after the install.

Finished my dual tranny cooler setup (ATF shower - wuhuuu)

I installed my 120l aux fuel tank. (pic 2 is from a test fitting before that the undercoating treatment)

And then i got my bead buster clone that i welded up back from the powder coater, and attatched a piece of rubber for rim protection.

I did. Placed it in the compartment in the lefter side of the boot area. Right now it's just a 32 mm 90 deg elbow through the floor, that connects to the filler fitting on the tank. To finish it off i think i'll just connect a piece of 32mm hose to the elbow, and put a planking cap at the end.
