- damn tire shops and their impacts...

watching your front tire and rim make a course on their own while traveling 65mph is quiet the adrenalin rush- just thankful the wife wasn't with me!

gave me a reason to go ahead and finish my knuckle rebuild... drivers side was completed couple weeks back... was just been putting this side off with all the other crud going on in my life....

Been there done that with a wheel bearing failure a few years back.... Welcome to the "hold on tight club" :-) what a unwanted thrill :-)

Glad you made it safe out the other side.

Always like the signal integrated into the mirror so i did it. Not easy but good results. Also put in heated motorcycle grip material and going to hook it to the rear defroster circuit.

I am now a proud member of the increased pucker factor club! :flipoff2: I might have to add some colon cleanse to my diet for the next few weeks to get things working again...:hillbilly:

Turned over the keys to my 12 yr old son and let him be beachmaster, which he was until the dude with the duece and a half showed up. We pulled some clams afterward. Can't wait to fry em up!

Installed my TJM 50mm progressive kit. Beer was required. I don't know why the first pic rotated…probably the beer...

Can you post or link more info on the mirror mod?

Looks like you removed the mirror silver. Won't the LEDs shine thru it?

Installed an old aluminum boat fuel tank in the spare tire carrier location.

Sold it :( still sitting in my driveway & already looking for a replacement

Drained and changed diff oil with new 75W-90W. Used a 15/16" six point socket and ground down the shoulder flush as per advice here, and worked like charm. Attempted to install brand new OEM ujoints I got from Cruiser Dan but to no avail.
Soaked everything in PB blaster three days leading up to the install and the rear yoke nuts were still a PIA. The front DS came out easy but the rear was a real pain. Ended up cutting one off the rear and looks like I'll have to use a cut off wheel to get the other one off. Tried heat, breaker bar, impact, and no dice.
I have a feeling the ujoints were original as all the bolts still had green loc tite the truck has 205k.

Without hesitation on Thursday we, (the wife, me, and our dog) loaded up our 200K+ mile 97 Collector Edition, and took it on a 1728 mile drive up to Seattle and back for Thanksgiving with the family!!

We recently upgraded to 4.88 gears to get her to move with the 315 MT/R's and I gotta say, "What a pleasure it made the drive!"

Hey apounder, you from around that area? I grew up in Yakima and hunted that area since I was twelve. My grandfather hunted that whole area back in the late 40's and 50s'. I've got a picture somewhere of him with a eight point mounted on the front of his range rover and the rack is wider that the front of the truck.
