Kids are going back to school soon so I took my boys and their school friend to the woods for some fishing and kayaking... OR as it turned out, mostly practicing with their light sabers in case we get some bear visitors.

Location: somewhere in Superior National Forest

They are. I'm typically not a fan of running dozens of lights. I liked Baja Designs philosphy on the LP9 to allow you to consolidate lights into a single unit. On the custom fab'd bumper I made room to run a third amber LP9 in the future to run lighting duty in dusty situations, but for now this setup is most likely end game for me aside from adding work/camp lights on the roof rack. they are so next level well built I have rigids and a KC gravity pro bar and these are made better IMHO

I bought a harbor freight 3/4 breaker bar tied it under frame with 550 cord bumped it and off it came put it back on with a equally large torque wrench, ask @OTRAMM he knows a trick.

I slept on it and the next day bought a piece of metal and re-made a SST to hold the crank shaft pulley. Used the 3/4 breaker with an extension and broke the nut loose :) The starter bump trick didn't work for me but this did and I needed a way to hold the pulley anyway when torqueing ??? back to speck. I'll post up photos at some point for fun.

@RFB Post back up after install with your impressions on noise reduction. I've got a lot of wind noise coming through the doors, and this is on the list.

I did all new weather stripping on both front doors and rear hatch all new pieces including full surround. It certainly makes a difference. In fact with all windows and doors closed, it takes a noticeably more amount of force to close a single door. The seal is substantially improved. Don't forget the seal at the steering shaft too while at it.

Oh good call I did a rebuilt/remmaned rock auto steering box and with the weather changing got that squeak from steering so Ill def check that seal whilst in there.

Wow, those just fit over the stock leather? They look great!

These are actually Subaru WRX seats

But yes they just fit right over the OEM leather seats. Two pieces, great fit. Here's what they look like on OEM Land Cruiser seats

I finally got around and replaced all my rubber brake lines, with some braided stainless, lines brakes work really good. I also stopped by at Metal Tech and grabbed some 2" spring spacers to take the sage out of the front I am very happy

sage in the front sucks, not matter how tight you bundle it up it always ends up blowing away.......................................

Got my Sahara steering box and power steering pump rebuilt.. expensive exercise but car drives a lot better
is a sahara hydro boosted or just a new steering gear?

Well, today was an attempt to fix the wandering steering and wobble at highway speeds... Jacked her up and found quite a bit of movement from 12 to 6 but none from 3 - 9 so assumed preload was the issue. Pulled the caps and could move the 54mm nuts by hand

Had already ordered the Trail Gear locking 54mm nuts so set the preload to 13 ft lbs and installed 'em. Passenger side went smooth as silk. Driver's side was very difficult to get screws lined up and wound up getting too much preload on that side. Hub got HOT at highway speeds. Guess I will get to do that again tomorrow!

jeff you have link to the nut locker? I cant find it anywhere?

My son shoveled out horse stalls for 2 years and saved up $2k towards a Cruiser and this 100 series became locally available. Helped him out with the rest and now he is a proud owner! I know it ain't an 80 series but I have to admit I am a bit envious of the amount of features and comfort of that truck. I am thinking it will fit right in. Oh...and he quickly named it Jalepeno.
