I’m going out to this year’s Desert Rendezvous. 130 trucks in attendance, starts on Thursday meeting off split mountain rd near fish creek. I have no trail runs planned but will likely tag along on some. Perhaps if a group is willing to run pinion Mtn backwards and then come back down so I don’t have to rip my flares off going through the squeeze. Otherwise it is just a good trip of cleaning up all the trash, exploring, and hanging out with friends.
So awesome! Should be nice and cool. Have fun, wish I was going!

Man, I'd love to go to this, don't think I'll be finished in time though. Let me know next time you head out to Anza.

Check out CA- Beach-n-Toys. We meet once a month for club stuff and do at least one run a month.

Took off bumpers and rear fender flares to get them ready for paint.

Nice setup! I checked out your build thread. I see the hungry jack box. What is cooking in the pot? Also, how do you vent your cooking exhaust....just crack a window?

Thanks! It’s really nice for cold weather. I just crack my windows so I get a little breeze coming through. Also have a co2 monitor to be extra safe. That night I was having ramen and the hash browns haha.

Chuck Norris is the driver of that big fellow.

Three jokes on an icy day in KC.....

Chuck Norris once urinated in a semi truck's gas tank. That truck is now known as Optimus Prime.

Chuck Norris doesn't need a License to drive a car... The car needs a special license to be driven by Chuck Norris.

There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.

I did quite a lot with my 80 this weekend. Over 1900 miles to be exact and what a drive it was. Started off Friday in Bozeman. Loaded up and drove 635 miles to my fiance's house in Loveland Colorado. Took about 9 hours. Saturday we got up and left her place at 4:30. 310 miles later we had crossed the Colorado Rockies, driven some spectacular roads

and had to made it to our destination, the tiny Town of Cedaredge. The reason was to get the newest addition to our little family, Eko!

She is an Alaskan Malamute/Australian Shepherd mix who is going to drive her big brother Rocky, who is a great Pyrenees husky mix, insane!

Rocky is a wheeling veteran and comes on all of our trips. He has even wheeled the whole rubicon with us and is famous for mauling @beno haha I'm hoping she does as well in the 80 offroad as he does just without the mauling Onur part.

We then drove back a different route to Genwood springs Colorado so that I didn't have to deal with the ice shelf road again (while amazing we still have 5 hours and 310miles to go that day). On this alternate route we accidentally found Profits Cruiser headquarters.

Yes that is one of the extremely rare Mega Cruisers! I turned around and went back to go get the picture lol they are apparently located in Austin CO which is just south of Cedaredge. The ride back to Pollys house was slow as anyone would expect with a new puppy but we made it happen. On Sunday we we're able to relax all day and then go meet fellow Cruiser head @sl3807 a at one of our favorite breweries in Fort Collins. We talked cruisers for hours and had a great time. Best of all though we were able to take Eko because they're a very dog friendly place.

On Monday said goodbye, turned the cruiser north and made the 635 mile trek back to Bozeman through the blizzards happening throughout all of Wyoming. It was a white knuckle ride for sure but the 80 did all of it like a champ!

4 days, 3 of driving, 1 layover and 1900+ miles. I'd say my cruiser needs a break!

Took the angle grinder to the lower tailgate and installed the Bay Back Customs Storage Panel. I can't say enough what a solid, well built, panel this is. Straighforward install and the results are great! Need to line the tailgate with some sound deadener material now and will be ready to stuff my recovery gear in there.

Then, worked on getting the 1/4 panel wiring and components installed. Still need to add some 12V outlets back there and figure out my solar wiring, but everything should be straightforward now with the fuse box easily accessible back there.

Took my first trip in the 80 this weekend. Went out to the mountains for a buddy's bachelor party. Probably about 400 miles total. 80 did great. Hauled all my skeet shooting stuff (and booze haha), and handled all the back roads in the sleet like a champ. The ragged steering wheel still sucks.

Still need to sort out an annoying exhaust leak at the new y pipe and it definitely needs the rest of the exhaust. I am stoked that it's driveable though.

changed out heater control valve now my vents won't blow hot air during the summer

Don't count on cool air. These valves do not shut off completely. A small amount of coolant continues to circulate through the heater cores even with the valve closed.

OEM valves don't, anyway. These do.

As you load up your new space remember this can happen. :bang: That dent is worse than it looks and had there been something "valuable" or fragile in the gate it would have been toast.

It wasn't a tree...More sinister than that. A big pipe slightly below the eyeline. :censor:

Look at the tire carrier arm. That tube bent like a Coors can....

Once again a Hi-lift jack demonstrated what it is best at. Causing body damage.:flipoff2: They don't even have to be in operation to be effective.:ban:
