At that time it was 28 in my truck.....felt warm after being on the mountain all day!

I have slept in my truck many times. I like to hunt alone as far as I can get in the boonies. I have a matress I bought at IKEA that fits the back of the truck perfectly lengthwise (from the tailgate to the back of the front seats) and takes up about half of the width. I built a drawer systems with a fold-over board on hinges that lays across the folded down back seats. It is really comfortable. I have had some nights when my 20 degree mummy sleeping bag with long-johns and wool socks wasn't enough. I had to wrap-up in a blanket and then get inside the sleeping bag. I should probably buy a warmer sleeping bag but I am just not out enough nights in really cold weather to make it worthwhile. It makes for a great night sleep when you are in a nice warm bag and it is brutally cold outside. Sure tough to unzip that bag early in the morning!

3" Tourflex kit with adjustable panhard bars. Looking forward to getting the OME suspension out from under my rig.

Proud customer of the Tough Dog brand. Planning to keep the 37s? Keep us posted

Where and who makes the Tough Dog brand?

Shocks have 4 Way (Suspension) stamped on them. Made in AUS.

S,

Quick history... Tough Dog used to be owed by Lund International here in the US and the owner of 4 Way Suspensions bought the TD line/name from Lund. They were buying from Lund and shipping back to AUS. 4 Way Suspensions is the mother company based in AUS that ownes TD now.

41mm foam cell shocks are made by either Gabriel or Tenneco (Monroe) in the US or Mexico. Then sent to AUS for QA/QC, batch testing and final assembly/packaging.

Coil springs (Tough Dog and my TourFlex) are made by King in AUS.

I'm the North American distributor for TD, but only stock cruiser components/kits and can order up to 35 more vehicle makes and models.

Thanks Jason, last night I did some research and read pretty much all that company history stuff. Was mostly interested in who makes the coils because there aren’t too many places on the planet that mass produce springs.

I'm definitely keeping the 37's. My bump stops are set to work with what I've got now, and by the measurements, I don't see a reason the new suspension won't work. I also have some sheet metal missing.

Got my obligatory photo at Sandstone Canyon, Anza Borrego.

Perfect, remember cut off date for beach permits is end of march now, and you have to have your fishing license (or proof thereof) on you. Will see you out east, going to use the 80 for quick runs when the bite turns on. Besides all the base-lining, I'll need more flotation, and animal strike protection for all the damn deer that insist on jumping in front on my rigs. The 80 does not stop as fast as I'd like yet, but working on it.
