Nope...haven't tried that method.

I had a method similar to this, it's the "remove valve core then during replacement, let it slip out of your fingers and watch it disappear into the bush with air pressure rushing out of the valve stem" method.

very effective for lowering tyre pressures.

And this experience was also a teachable moment. My method now includes a valve core between my lips. I too was once young and foolish like you.

Knocked out the leaky front main and oil pump cover seals, had been putting them off but glad they're done. Also got rid of the 90's chrome on the front. Painted it to match the bumper and grill I did a while back.

Oh and...
My Sears Platinum aux 34M has a failed cell. When charging it got really hot and you could smell sulpher coming out of it. That was a week ago. Yesterday the main wouldn't start. So out it on charger over night. Would not charge past 11.2v :(

So 8 years later both of my Sears Platinums have s*** the bed. I didn't have a lot of options around me so just went to Costco and bought a 24F and 34 so that I didn't have to reroute cables. I haven't installed yet but I'll do it in the morning.

Pretty sure there was no warranty left :p
Searched like crazy for a 27F interstate. Couldn't get one at Costco. Found one available from my local tire dealer (Belle Tire- Michigan chain) . Supposed to be in tomorrow as they had to order it. $135. One of the things I'm waiting on for my disconnect install. Other things are- surrounding bolt restoration and improving the neatness of my wiring. This thing is so nice I'm embarrassed to put it next to my crap work!

It would have been easier and faster to remove the grille and headlamp mouldings and paint them off the truck......:meh:

Yep, was about half way done taping when I thought of that. Just kept trucking, it's somewhat therapeutic for my OCD too.

There are no panty lines when there is no masking.................:)

Possibly....:hmm:

Some fun in the snow

I've done much needed general maintenance - brakes, rotors, wheel bearings, fan clutch, spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap and other various things the past few weekends and just got the winch mounted as well. Next up some sliders. Hope to have her ready for some good adventures this summer.

Had a sunny day so cleaned the old girl out, gave my new shop vac a workout , wiped down the console and dash down with a very mild simple green solution and screwed this thing down.

Then went out with my yakdog to enjoy the sun some more.

Bit more progress on solar setup, drilled the scary hole in the side of the car for the gland, hooked up the panel to the dcdc charger and redid all the return leads, made a couple of power leads to connect the fuse box to both the dcdc and the secondary battery, and made an aluminium case/panel to hold the switches and the outlets. Ran out of lugs and still waiting for circuit breakers, pinchweld and a charge monitor. Maybe next days off

is there more info / a build thread showing that aluminium box your switches are in? ..and that scary hole in the side has been on my mind for months, there seems no good way round it really.
