View attachment 1324116 View attachment 1324117 So yesterday Jose and I made a "easy" run up Blackwoods Canyon and Ellis Peak with our families. The objective was to get into the fresh fall air and see if any of the trees had started to change color around Lake Tahoe. We started at the Kaspian Campgrounds just off the lake and headed up Blackwoods Canyon. While this trail was not "hard" it was allot of fun and had a few challenging spots and great views of the lake.
Once we reached Barker Pass at the top of the canyon we ran into Baldilocks who was on his way out after camping for the weekend with his wife. After some quick "shop talk" we were on our way down and past bear lake and over to Ellis Peak. A short time later we were at the end of the trail (some went further then others....) and we made a quick hike to the top and then enjoyed lunch in the shade with an amazing view of Lake Tahoe.
An awesome day was had by all and reminded me that the trail doesn't always have to be "challenging" to be allot of fun.

Here's my contribution. I've been slacking on the photo-taking lately. Great trip, incredible views of Lake Tahoe.
