I spent several hours this past weekend fixing a paint chip until it looked nearly perfect. The truck has been immaculately maintained inside and out, and the body and paint were in near-new condition.

Today I watched my pristine beauty get bashed and beaten by baseball-sized hail. Now the truck looks like a deranged chimp went bonkers on it with a sledgehammer.

Amazingly, no broken glass except for the passenger mirror. That sunroof glass is tough.

That’s a bummer. It’s been super hot and dry here in so cal. No hail nor rain around my town

Sorry to hear that

I got my Power Tray and Bussmann relay/fuse panel installed, as well as stripped my Viair 300P down to barebones and installed it. Now just need to do some wiring and install my new console switch plate.

To install the power tray what did you do about the bracket that attaches to the same fender hole as the tray? All I could figure to do was to cut the bracket since it also bolts to the wheel well. But stopped and contacted Power Tray with photos but no response in at least two weeks.

I just unbolted that bracket, slid the Power Tray between the fender and that bracket, and fed the new bolt through both.

Thanks, I will have to re-visit this because I believe the bracket was interfering with the tray for me.

@bravoleader So here is the issues I ran into with my tray install.

It hits the top of that bracket I pictured before.

And that prevents the holes from lining up.

Laser????

BTW I like the Tardis reference....

I think I see the problem, Power Trays made me a blank one since I am planning to install a BlueSeas fuse black that I already have and there trays fitted with holes would not work for the BlueSeas fuse block. And for some reason the tab against the fender is turned up instead of down like yours is.

Quick and easy... Open the hole with a die grinder or step bit?

Not to sound rude, but are you sure you are not installing it upside down? From my understanding the trays should all mount the same, they just have different cutouts. If the fender side is indeed upside down I would request a replacement as that will not bolt up properly.

I thought about that at the time I tried to install it because there is a major lack of directions with these trays! I had to go to the website and search for a pic to see which side attaches to the leg. The left side of the tray is down to reach the leg support and the right should be down as well according to your photo but mine is bent up.

Land Rover cup holder mod. I am testing location right now with double sided tape. Right now it doesn't conflict with shifters but the passenger seat can't move fully forward. Trying to see if this will be an issue...

My center storage box is full of other items so having only two cupholders up front wasn't enough.

I’m sorry to hear about the hail damage. You could have used one of these lanmodo car tents.

Ordered the Gibson cat-back exhaust today during an ebay sale. I'm looking forward to installing next week..... I hope! Sounds like a straight forward installation, anyone who has done it have any tips or hangups to beware of?
I know there was a thread a while back where one of you had issues but it sounded like it was just a bad kit.

I sure would like to have tried one of those!

The adjuster still hasn't called me yet, but I already know some of the damage is beyond the scope of PDR. We had another catastrophic ($169 million in insurance claims) hail storm come through 2 months ago, and insurance totalled 60% of the damaged vehicles with that one especially those older than model year 2013. If they do total it, the question will be whether I buy it back or maybe move over to a 100 Series LC.

I hope they do total it. Body shops are already booking into JULY 2019 because of the magnitude of these two storms, and the fastest one shop could get me in for just an estimate would be mid-December. I'm not looking for a year-long saga to get it fixed.

It is always a bummer when that happens, especially on such a large scale. I recall a time of something similar while living in another state. The rental car companies also were impacted from the storm, resulting in a lack of rental cars for repairs as the rental cars were also getting replaced. Sadly, they did not total our SUV at the time and we had to take the vehicle to a different town for prompt repairs. Only to get rear ended a month later.

On Topic: Received brake replacement parts and some underbelly protection. Prepping for installation this morning.

Buyback for sure for just a few hundo and its free and clear ready for anything without caring about trail scars., AND get the 100 for townie use?

Not that the picture shows it well, but I have the ARB UVP installed. I did find out that the Prado120 has some slight bolt pattern differences compared to my GX470. The one issue I found was the rear tranny UVP plate says to use the rearmost holes for the 150 series, but to use a slightly front pair of holes to bolt up to on the Prado 120. The 150 series pair of holes were what I had to use as the other pair didn't match up to anything. No big issue, just an observation.

Also installed front pads and rotors. These Toyota pads were pink!

Ditch lights are go...

The included switch fell apart though, wasn't what I wanted to use anyway. I have several of those aftermarket OEM-style switches so I have one of those on it temporarily but (correct me if I'm wrong) these things are meant to be connected to replays, not 12V to directly power anything? The ditch light kit I bought didn't have a relay
