Wife came home and said I think the tires low, yep a screw in the tire will do that. So I finally put these on.

Busy weekend mod day: Finished up my lift install with rear Toytec Superflex coils, Ironman rear conversion kit, and Icon VS2.0 shocks. Installed custom 3d printed PTEG awning mounts and Tuff Stuff awning, and then did the front bumper chop with an air powered body saw, all in all happy with the outcome!

Well, it was yesterday.... but brought it home... ‘07. Let the mods begin!

Rear suspension is already “air deleted”. But that’s about it.

Me on the test drive to the seller; “does the low range and diff lock work properly”

Him - “what’s that?”

(They both do)

I did a pretty thorough detail. I’m sure everyone has their wash routines and or product Arsenal’s but I thought I’d share these two from my personal collection. I detail for money so I’ve had the chance to experiment and have my own selection of stuff I think works best. I thought about starting a Detailing thread ....anyone interested?
The Black Pearl is a tire dressing. Im kind of a tire shine junky (I’m a product of the 90’s....) of course it’s for when you’re in town. This stuff rocks and they sell it in matte or shine. They say it will last six months but I’ve yet to experience that long. It lasts way longer than anything else and it’s still water based. It comes with a roller for application or has instructions online for air brushing it on to get all the nooks and crannies. Pretty sure it’s only available direct from the manufacturer.

The headlight stuff from Chemical Guys does work really well on moderately damaged headlights. Especially if you have a rotary polisher. However, I found a little trick everyone here might like. I put a little on a microfiber towel and use it on the instrument cluster plastic (the speedometer) to clean up minor scratches. Don’t go nuts with the pressure and you can usually see results after one try. They sell it in 4oz bottles so you don’t have to get a ton of it. It wasn’t easy to get a picture of the cleaned up plastic but I took the picture anyway.

Installed Colorado plates on both the GX and the subie. Also cut out the anchor and seat hardware for the cargo liner. This way we can use the anchor points and the rear seating with the rear rubber cargo liner installed. Getting ready for the suspension but they should be shipped soon!

Welcome to SW Colorado

Installed a Curt hitch for the second time. Turned out the first one they sent me was bent from the factory and didn’t line up on all the holes. Ughhhh
happened to me on my Suby, they (eTrailer) said something like, "it's soft, you can just tweak it, it'll go"...
not confidence-inspiring, but that's a class II for going on a sedan, so there's that. . .

Yeah this was an inch off over 6” span on the passenger side rail. I almost started to tweak it myself but figured I paid for a proper hitch so just requested a new one. Thanks Amazon

OR its tar then some tar remover...

So it just rained, If I were still in Kansas I would have been concerned (fast rapid wind onset with lots of rain and lighting, but it isn't its Arizona, so I decided to go thrash it about on/in the wet, as well, we dont get much of it out here. Seriously it has been a year and a half since I saw one like that here. I tried to break the back end free, and I couldn't (I was keeping it within the "I just bought this thing and this is the first time to test it" excuse limits) I am amazed with just how much traction, power, and control this thing has at all times. It is a god damned goat.

Thanks for sharing!! Never thought about using that stuff on the instrument plastic! Mine is all scratched up and hazy from previous owners rubbing in dirt and now I will be buying some to clear it up! Thanks

Simple paint polish will work as well. Make sure to polish the clock display as well!
