Has anyone done this? I have seached and found shops that will take your rims and weld bead locks on them. I am just worried how much trouble it is going to be to weld them on to a stock set of rims.

I would say unless you have a TIG welder or know someone who does, you are probably be better off sending them in. I also think you need somekind of lathe to "turn" the edge off of the stock rim.

Ah yes, well then I misunderstood your original question. The two companies that I know of that do aluminium rims are OMF and Champion, there may be more. I know of someone who sent their aftermarket aluminium rims to Champion and was/is really pleased with them. I don't know the down time or the price.

slee did his 16" stock fzj80 rims at champions. they look pretty sharp so maybe call him up and ask him how easy it was. bon't you have a 91 donor? if so the rims are the same 15" style as series 2 4runners so you might be able to find some already beadlocked on yotatech.
