So we have been tossing around the idea of getting a small hardside camper (think Casita) but realized that the Highlander really doesn't have the towing capacity for that.

After working with Carson Toyota for the last few month and giving them our list of things we got a call last Monday that they "may" have something for us. Well after a couple hours we have them a check and they were going to get back to us when the truck passed certification. We picked her up yesterday and said goodbye to our old friend the Highlander.

Welcome Betty, our new 2011 4Runner SR5 Premuim!!

Now mind you, this is the wife's car so no mods or anything. But she will still be fun!!

Way to flex out the new rig Greg:grinpimp: :D
Keep that beauty on the road. I love those new 4 Runners--Jealous. Should be good for towing and and family trips. Perfect size.

Very nice!!

The wife has an 06 and loves it.
Good for desert and fire road running!! ;)

NO mods????? Come on really?

Thanks guys. We are excited to have it, there will be ONE mod to it and that will be the addition of steps/nerf bars. My wife is only 5' tall so we didnt realize how much taller than the Highlander she sits. She has a bit of a hard time getting in.. LOL (short people problems). Other than that she will see VERY LITTLE offroad time but I am going to try and convince the wife to do at least Barney Riley with her.

Good thing is that she is Toyota Certified Used and part of passing the certification was that we got NEW tires! This was actually nice because we just put new tires on the Highlander in June after my mom passed due to all the traveling to CA (never buying Yokohamas again). They ended up throwing stock sided Falken WildPeak ATs on the truck and so far I am impressed. These are tires that I have been wondering about for some time so I will keep an eye on them and do a small report.
