My Weboost OTR cam with an 18" mast and a 13" extension. I want to only use the 13" but it has male threads on one end and femail on the other. The 18" has male threads on both ends and the "bulb" has female threads. This is unlike the pic below.

What I have can't be shortened to 13". I need a threaded tube nipple that will allow me to connect the 13" extension to the "bulb" and the spring mount. I have searched the web and Weboost site and can't find a 13" extension that has male threads on both ends. Anyone seen something like that?

Also, the threads seem to be non-standard. An M10x1.0 nut will thread onto the male threads of the mast extensions but is a bit "loose" and isn't right. An M10x1.0 bolt will not thread into the female threads. 3/8x24 isn't it either. I even tried 3/8" 1/8IP lamp thread which is close but no joy.

So, I suspect that I'm the only one with this particular problem but wanted to just follow up here with my solution. The mast extensions are made from plastic or fiberglass and the metal ends (with the threads) can easily be cut off and the bit of mast glued to the metal end drilled out with a 1/2" drill bit. You can then cut the remaining 18" mast extension to any length you want and then JB weld the metal end back on.

I just checked mine and it looks like the pictures, where both sections have a male/female end. I usually use the short extension but can add the 18" extension "under" the pass through section so I don't have to reroute all the wiring, if that makes sense.

Good idea with the air wire routing and extension.

not sure why mine is configured the way it was. Maybe they made a change at some point and I have an old one.
