We just got back from 2 weeks of camping holidays. We basically decided to keep to the Arrow / Boundary Lake Forest Area so we could enjoy our nightly campfires.:D

1st Leg of Trip – Left from West Kelowna down to Jewel Lake Provincial Park (Near Greenwood) for a night of camping. We strolled in Monday Morning and had our pick of the park. We then drove down to Castlegar then onward to Kokanee Provincial Park just outside of Nelson, where we set up home base for the remainder of the week. We had planned on fishing on a lake just below the Kokanee glacier but discovered that "Kodi" was not welcome within the park boundaries. We did manage to find a really neat mountaintop lake (Loon Lake) just outside Ainsworth Hot Springs. We drove back through Naskup and then unto the Needles Ferry (After waiting for a large gathering of Ferrari Pantera’s to unload). We finished the trip by driving through Cherryille, Coldstream then home.

Kodi's reaction to "being banned" from park boundries...

2nd Leg of trip – Tauraus Lake Forest Service Site just outside of Rock Creek. Rough 2 wheel drive road. You gotta love our BC forest service sites – Camping right on the lake.:bounce:

Great pics!

Awesome pics Ian, and a nice trip by the looks of it. Great idea to get out of this valley at this time of year.

When are you going to tremclad the bottom half of the Boler to match your 42?:D

nice pics. how is that boat rack on the highway?

The boat rack is very secure on and off road! I recently did some bush-wacking and was actually using the boat/rack combo to push smaller treee limbs out of the way;). The rack is quite loose before boat is loaded, but really firms up once boat is strapped on.

Moving the rack to "the front" was a last minute mod before our camping trip.

The original plan was just to "rent" the boler for the summer. We've actually had so much fun with it that we are re-thinking...:hhmm:

If we decide to keep it - a shiny new paint job will follow along with a small lift.

Looks like a great time..

Nice report! How do you like the Coleman water heater? Considering an onboard shower set up for my rig. Price? Pros? Cons?

Not sure how often We-Cruz is on MUD these days, the thread is 3 years old! I'll let him know you posted, he's a good buddy of mine.

Cheers,
Rob

Hilarious! Thanks man! I should have looked at the date.

Yeah haven't been on mud for awhile.... I been doing a new style of wheeling that only has 2 wheels. ;p
The Coleman is a great alternative and heats up the water nice and hot. They are no longer made by Coleman but mine still works great. The 6 volt battery needs to replaced every 1 to 2 years. You still seem them on the classifieds from time to time. Combine this with a shower tent from Cabellas and you got a great combo.
