HUH ? Oh..... CT
Our 2 1/2 year GE Hydrowave washer has been awesome till a few weeks ago. I think we lost 6th gear in the spin cycle. Everything else works fine. The washer spins final spin not at the fast speed it used to.

I read the stuff on line and opened the front. Belt is fine and the error code on the motor are normal.

So I am thinking it’s a motor or transmission problem.

So the question is are these things throw away items or is it worth having a repair guy come out at his hourly rate to fix or tell me it’s dead ?

Thanks. I caved in and bought a new one. Appliance repair is not my thing and I could have thrown good money after bad with the old one.

Sounds like a good call. Newer appliances seem way harder to self-diagnose and fix than the older ones that I have in our house.

I am 68 yrs old and we had real M80’s and Cherry Bombs when I was a kid. The washing machine would be an awesome “platform” for such activity. The echo would be fabulous !
