hello i'm from the 100 series section have a 100 series lx 470 with a actuator for the vsrg (steering). over $2000.00 to repair the actuator; seems it was a late upgrade for the 100 series so I thought maybe some one from the 200 series may have had this repair done. I have been with this dealership for a long time and they have gotten all of my work before and the tech guy has even done some side jobs for me so I dont think they would do this repair if it wasnt needed. Little background on the ob over weekend had vsrg and vsc trac lights come on; next day steering wheel was becoming off (not straight at 3 6 9 ). thanks for any info

Thanks paige but do you know what work was done on LS? Dealership is trying to say it's unrelated. On mine actuator broke.

They would replace a comptuer for the LS. I believe there was an actual recall of the LX470 for a similar issue.

Hello thanks for the reply. Are you sure they replaced it??? From what I could research is the they updated the software!!! As for the LX recall they only replaced pArts on the steering shaft! My Actuator went and it's was over $3000 to fix! Trying to tie the 2 together but no luck yet; if you can confirm for menthat the LS. Had the module replaces I can have something to work with! Thanks please reply if you can

From the link I sent you:

What is Lexus doing to address this issue?
As soon as the remedy parts are available, Lexus will begin sending notification letters by first class mail to owners of the involved vehicles. The letter will advise owners to bring their vehicle to a Lexus dealer to have the Steering Control computer replaced with a newly designed one at no charge. The computer replacement is expected to take less than one hour, depending on dealer workload.

Thanks again lol. I love my vehicle just trying to get some help with this repair! Will post how it turns out.
