I have a Y2K LC100, and it has a vibration starts around 60MPH to 70MPH, sometimes it will go away over 70, but sometimes it stays, anything I should look for?

I had all tires re-balance and rotated few days ago, though it would solve the vibration issue, but it did not.

run it up to 70mph and put the tranny in neutral. if it goes away as it coasts down then it is most likely u-joints.

Also, sometimes tires dont get balanced right.

Took it to a shop, front end is tight, then took it to Town Fair Tire, to have all four tires re-blance and tire alignment, vibration remains the same

At 60MPH, steering wheel shakes a little, once it hits 65MPH, it comes worst, the whole truck shakes a little, at 70MPH it seems to go away.

x2 on the driveshaft u-joints. I had the same issue recently and new u-joints on my rear driveshaft fixed the vibration problems over 60mph and it drives like new again... Like you I rotated my tires first and got an alignment which did nothing for me... U-joints man... Check your U-joints...

You guys that put in spicer u-joints, where did you buy them?

Sent from my iPhone. Clumsy fingers may contribute to mistakes.

I thought I was the only one having this issue. I've had my 99 for a while now, so long that I couldn't remember a time that I didn't get the vibration. Like everyone, I balanced, re-balanced (and road force balanced again), aligned, put new wheels and tires, replaced practically the front end (after an accident), but still no solution. I spoke with several mechanics throughout the years and chalked it up to their reasoning for the issue.....I don't drive it on a daily basis so it gets a flat spot and causes the vibration when I do drive it. And like 2garfields sometimes it would go away and sometimes it would stay, so I figured the mechanics were right in their assumption. But I wasn't going to change my driving habit with gas price continually going up, so I lived with it. Thanks for reminding me that my LC once rode without vibration....

I had a vibration noise that started at about 70mph. It turned out it was from the passenger side CV axle was dry and partially rusted to the end cap. This was between where the cv comes out of the spindle and is attached with the c clip. Somebody did a bad job greasing the wheel bearings. I think I caught it before it made too much damage to replace... Time will tell. I know how to put it in 2wd...
