Cruiser Kid said:How can you own a 1997 40th anniv. edition and believe that the 60th anniv. emblem is legit? It would serve no purpose until at least 2017!

The real question is: how can I get my hands on one of those OEM-looking swing-away spare tire carriers for the back? I saw those on a few 200s in Oz as well. They look like they would bolt right on to just about any 200 series above and below the tail lamp. The only noticeable difference I saw was a different tailgate to move the license plate over.

The 40th Anniversary trucks were to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Toyota importing Land Cruisers into the United States.
The 60th Anniversary badge, only available in the Japanese domestic (and other foreign) market(s), is to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the production of the Land Cruiser.
As for one's man-card, it can never be surrendered for buying anything that is OEM Toyota Land Cruiser equipment...and, I would think, 200 Series owners would be all about the bling!
