I swapped my Procomps and alloys for a set of nearly new set of BFG AT's on steelies then. Beautiful tires, just what I want and need to run until the truck eventually sells.

Get everything home and found out the steelies were the wrong backspacing for my truck. (insert dope slap here) IFS backspacing I presume.

So I figured I'd put them on these nice "Toyota" alloys I got from a guy on NEOW for next to nothing. They'll look great!

Measured the backspacing 3 or 4 times then had the tires swapped from rims to rims today. Go to put them on tonight and !!!IDIOT!!! The center circle is too small. I was so focussed on the backspacing that I never measured the center circle.

After contemplating throwing myself onto something sharp I remembered that I had given Stuart Levasser a set of FJ62 steelies to sell but the buyer backed out. I have 2 more of these rims in my garage that I've been using for spares and have tried them in all positions and they work great. So I've contacted Stu about hopefully getting those back. Then I'll have the tires swapped over $AGAIN$ and get this over with.

Some days my stupidity amazes even me.

Dave, have you ever considered just keeping a vehicle? That's a pretty good rig as is..................grass is always greener and all that. Other than that, your story sounds like something I would do. :crybaby:

I think its trying to tell you it doesn't want to go!

Sounds like something I would do. Its always the little thing you forget to check which causes you the biggest frustration.

ya dave it really does sound like the runner is gripping the back wall of the garage screaming keep me!

Finally, all finished, came out great, rides a lot smoother now. :)
