Venison Shakshuka

[Butt Ugly Chuck]

A better hunter than I gifted me a jar of canned whitetail
A better gardener than I gifted me a jar of homemade salsa

- One strip of bacon. Reserve a little bit of the fat.
- Sauté a little leftover pico and some garlic in the fat
- Add oregano, cumin, salt, pepper
- One pint jar of salsa
- One pint jar whitetail (or a couple cups cooked meat of your choice)
- Crack 4 eggs to poach in the sauce

The bad pic doesn't do it justice. Bomber tasty and easy to make.

@Butt Ugly Chuck , isn't that a typa of Moroccan or North African dish?
Like Harissa seasoning, or something like that.
Looks great, and i have made something similar a while back.
Maybe with a Pita, or Naan bread.

That's my understanding. I didn't consult a recipe or use ingredients more exotic than cumin though. Just made something that looked kinda like what someone else referred to as Shakshuka.
