Scott,
I sat down last night and listed about sixty items to check on an old cruiser.
If someone would tell me how to import a word document onto this site(if possible) I'll type it up and take recomendations and suggestions. How many people are interested in inspecting their vehicles?

I've tried to include everthing I could think of that might need to be looked at that a person new to a cruiser wouldn't necsessary know what was correct. A lot of this could be done at home, the rest could be done as a group. Any and all sugestions are welcome.The format wouldn't come through so I've listed it in column form.

Craig,

Thanks for jumping on this. I agree that several of those items can be accomplished at home. I think this session should be more along the lines of big picture stuff.

Brake system check
4 wheel system check
Body armor check (and suggestions)
are all items secure both below and in the rig.
Fluids ?
And also as Charlie mentioned, what do they typically look for at the national events.

I am sure others have a good idea of additional items to look at that I may be missing (Chef, Bob, Chris, Erik) and we may need a few different lists for the various models of rigs. I think it would be good if we could target something in March (pending Craig's schedule)

Scott,
My thoughts were to look for;
A. Anything that might cause a vehicle to be unsafe, on or offroad.
B. Anything that can be identified that could cause a breakdown out in the boonies.
I don't like unnecessary problems where parts aren't available, especially if they were preventable.

Fluids! Beer,beer,beer! Not really, I meant transmission, t-case, & differential grease, brake fluid, power steering fluid, hydraulic clutch fluid,etc.
