Eventually I plan to insure the cruiser in Alberta as I hear it is cheaper than B.C.
Can someone tell me about how much per year or per month it is to insure their cruiser?
I was just looking up some stuff on the net, it said something about having to get the vehicle appraised if it is older than 1996?
Where would I get the cruiser appraised? 4wheelauto?
Obviously most people would not have a clue about how much my truck is worth...
Thanks!

My insurance company has never asked for an appraisal and my newest vehicle us a '96! You will have to get a out of province inspection done, Ukrainian Tire does this, so do a few other shops around town. Usually your insurance company will ask for an inspection on anything older than 10 years (again, mine has never asked). The only time you would get an appraisal is if you wanted full coverage and it would be to cover your butt, otherwise the insurance company will only give you blue book value.

I'm with State Farm(Ted Byrt), they don't require a mechanical inspection. Paying about $100/mo. Just fire/theft when parked is around $12/mo. I don't think that the muffler will be an issue here in Alberta. I don't know for appraisals. Ask Dan I guess. Len at Automotion in the west end has been my mechanic for about 6 years now. He does lots of diesels, rhd's and cruisers. See if he can do your out of province. 780.484.9269. Or Wayne Switzer at Japanese Motorsports 780.293.0667

Hey, was that you I saw heading south on Anthony Henday around 5pm Monday?

Oh yeah, I pay about $50 a month, but I'm an old fart ;).
