Saw this posted on Fraser Valley Mtn Bikers Facebook page.

From their post: " We are excited to announce that after over a decade long process, Vedder Mountain has finally been designated as a Section 56 interpretive forest. This means the trails are finally legalized and protected! We want to thank everyone who has been involved in this process throughout the years as it could not have happened without everyone's support! "

I couldn't find anything on the ministry web site, news releases or anything related to this, but since it's the internet, it must be true! :)

WTF?

Just an update on this: I've been recognized as the 4WDABC rep on the Vedder Mtn Trails Association. For now, motorized access will continue status-quo, but we'll have to come up with our trail usage via maps. If any of you can send me your track files (GPX, KML, etc) I can add them to the database. My goal is to keep our existing trail network intact, and perhaps have designated additional areas, as there will be some work done on the mountain (however, no plans to open an exit on the north side, sadly).
