Not new to having a 100 series, but yea, new to doing the work myself. In the process of swapping some coils around to make sure I was identifying the problem ones, I noticed some oil in sleeve #6. The others don't have oil in the sleeve but all seem to have some seepage at the gasket at the top of the sleeve. Plugs need replaced and I'll probably do all but 2 of the coils, paid some stooge to do it about 2 years ago and have had intermittent problems with them since then.

For the gaskets and really for the parts in general, what suppliers do you guys recommend? In the near future will also be the timing belt and starter.

For the valve cover gaskets I'd go OEM, but I last used Beck Arnley. Included both valve cover gaskets, spark plug tube seals and hold down bolt grommets. Fit was good and if I remember correctly was made in Taiwan. I accept Taiwan as a close second to Japan and light years ahead of China.
I just checked and the FelPro Kit Part # VS 50592 R is listed as manufactured in JP (Japan). May be worth a look as it's fairly inexpensive. I usually steer clear of FelPro for the imports because the fitment is generally horrible. Apparently they may have figured this out and are outsourcing now.

Timing belt time go with Aisin kit, comes with everything you need including water pump. They do make an Aisin kit with and without the hydraulic tensioner, do yourself a favour and replace it. Put on your list the fan bracket and serpentine belt tensioner. This is the time to change it. You should also get cam seals and crank seals, if you take it apart and they are dry then you can roll the dice to do it next time.

Starter new is out of the question, Toyota will supply reman Denso. Steer clear of new China replacements. I would go with a reputable rebuilder personally (Wilson), or just replace the starter contacts and plunger yourself (the only thing that wears out on a Denso starter...) Thanks!! Just to clarify, when you say OEM, you are talking about going to the dealer or obtaining an actual Toyota gasket set, correct?
 
I used the FelPro kit on mine. As long as you install the tube seals the right way (they go in opposite of how you think when you first look at them), it works fine, is cheap, and comes with the gaskets and tube seals in one box. I usually use OEM for most stuff, but for this one, I had no problem skipping Toyota. When you pull the valve covers, replace the PCV grommet and valve, too. Also OK to use aftermarket there.
