There is a new Rock Racer out by Valterra called the Twin Hammers. Seems to be a pretty neat rig. Tranny allows a 15 turn motor to fo fast, and still rockcrawl. It's not going to be as good as some of the actual rock crawlers, but as far as a multipurpose rig. I think it'll be a fun toy.

The tranny servo is a weak point identified already, but the lipo battery/charger and some of the other aspects are pretty neat.

Anyone run one yet?

Yep, I've run one. But I have to be honest, I work here on Vaterra. They are fun, a little three wheel drifting and they can climb decently. They aren't a hardcore crawler, but still capable. But the best is just cruising the bumps, and watching it bounce.

OK, that sounds funny.

But still fun.

I live in Vegas, crawling is secondary to going fast. Both my boys have basher RC's (Traxxas Slash and A Ruckus). I'm looking for a toy for me that can mostly keep up with them and still have some fun on the Rubicon as well.


You work for Vaterra? They seem to be backordered lately, you guys going to catch up anytime soon???
