utility trailer suspension

i put fj40 front springs on my utility/double atv trailer thinking the front of a cruiser weighs 2000+ lbs. but with 1500lbs of weight on it, it bottoms out. could i put rear fj40 springs on it to give me more travel? or an addaleaf?
