A man told me of his experience with trying to buy a car in the former Soviet Union.
Having spent several months acquiring all the documentation & stamps required he was finally at the last bureau. Upon receiving the final stamp the clerk informed him to come back in ten years to pick up his car.
The man asked whether he should pick it up in the morning or afternoon. The bewildered clerk looking up asked why in ten years it would even matter, the man explained that he was expecting the plumber in the morning.
