Hi Everyone – Well, fall is finally here!!! Thank goodness. The next OHV work day on the calendar is Saturday, September 17th. We’ll ease back into the work days to get back into the swing of things. The plan for this month’s work day is to finish the installation of the guardrail fencing on the Daniel Trail on the 1st hill climb on the western end toward Rocky Mtn. Loop Trail. There are only a few more sections to install. We’ll also have folks ride the trails and clear logs, branches and cut back the brush growing into the trails and pick up trash on all the trails as best as possible. We’ll have folks break up into a couple of groups for the different tasks depending on how many of you come to the work day.
Plan on meeting Kyle and a couple other FS folks at 9 am at the Uwharrie Hunt Camp. Bring your tools for installing guardrails and posts and for cutting back brush. Also, bring work gloves, wear long pants, closed toed shoes, have some long sleeves with you to put on if needed and bring lunch and water.
