Upgraded Knuckle Studs

Saw this link in the Hardcore Corner and thought that since some of you have had the pleasure of shearing knukle studs, you might want to check em out.

They are only $45 and you can also pick up a set of the new rock rings that look really cool.

I think the trail gear ones are stock replacments - not that there is anything wrong with that. I'm sure a new stock replacement is more than adequate for most applications. A new stud hasn't been fatigued yet or stretched by multiple installations and retorqing. I was just intriqued by the ARP studs made of an upgraded material.

Rock rings look pretty tough and not a bad price.

One thing to think about - if a chromo stud did break off deep, wouldn't it be a bear to remove? Hard to drill, etc.

Oops, my bad those are the knuckle studs for the steering arm, not the knuckle hub stud kit I was thinking of replacing. Yes you are right, the FROR ones are better quality than the stock ones. I'll burn the CD's this weekend.

I've heard many different places that the *new* studs you get from Toyota with the star drive (or whatever you call it) are upgraded from the factory strength and design.
So they're more than just *unused*
