I sent Rob a message over the weekend to see how everytthing was going and to make sure he made it back to Chicago. He said he has been doing a lot of baseline work on the 62, but has been really busy with work and hasnt had as much time as he would like to :wrench::wrench::wrench: on the truck. He is currently in Buenos Aires, Argentina through Rotary International. His local town of Wilmette, IL donated a ladder truck to Las Parejas, Argentina and he is down there showing them how to use it. He said he is having a great time and getting in some good  with the locals. Well that is the news he game me and I know a couple people were asking at the last meeting how he was doing, so he ya go...

Hello Georgia!

Been a busy month or two up here in Chicago, but I wanted to touch base with you all and just say "hey"!

I've been out of town with work doing some training with volunteer firefighters in a small industrial town about 4 hours northwest of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Really great country and a cool experience getting to know the locals.

"Georgia", our affectionately named cruiser is doing well. After driving the snot out of it for a while and making a big to-do list, I finally retired her to the garage and up on some stands. She's getting a good cleaning underneath, plus the front axle is torn apart awaiting some new seals and felts and the works. Gonna tackle a few leaks if they don't require any heroic measures... and hopefully it'll all be done by end of May or early June for some wheeling and a trip or two. Oh yeah, I've got a lockright on order as well. Thank you all again for the good times and the good truck. I'm having a blast in the garage!

Allison also says, "Hello!"

-Rob
