Good point. I mean, it isn't like Rhode Island where you are in spitting distance of all residents... We are in a place called Cedar Park, northwest suburb of Austin, that looks like it was once a charming rural community and lacked the benefit of stringent expansion plans and planner. The place is blowing up like a balloon attached to an open air tank, and it won't be pretty when it bursts.
The LC was great up in Michigan for with the snows we got I could plow through when most everyone else was stranded, but here, 11 mpg max is not seeing much benefit offset!
As long as I am typing, any thoughts on how to find out the easiest way to diagnose if a high temp (off the top of the scale) indication is fault of sensor or gage? I don't even know how to find out where the darned sensor is attached. Precautionary, I replaced the thermostat, but the engine was not running hot - heck, the gage goes off the top end upon ignition first thing in the morning, and though hotter than Michigan, it ain't all that hot outside.
