I just happened to be doinking around on the 'net, instead of hitting the sack, when I came across these babies from Holland (now known as SAF/Holland):
TH-10050 Series

Saw some folks elsewhere whimpering about not having a proper recovery point on their ARB. Well, duh.

But finding something to mount instead of Mr. T's loops is the problem. These babies have 3" spacing between the mounting holes. They spec either 5/8" or 3/4" Grade 8 hardware, but maybe a suitable metric equivalent would work.

They also will hang down 4" if they get mounted in the stock position under the frame! Yep, they're that big.

Anyone have any of these mounted? Stock location for an 80, for instance, or did you do something else?

Other suggestions?

With what's going on outside, they may be selling a few more of these after tomorrow...

I dont like big hooks hanging . I think 4" is way to much. Sometimes 2.75-3" is too much. Sorry , its not an 80, but at least an ARB is involved.
I picked these up for 5 bucks a piece, no drilling, no muss----no fuss with grade 8 hardware.

Neat install.

Who made your hooks?

Yeah, the big Holland hooks will hang down some. My thought was that the only place where this would be a problem would be in the rocks.

One thing I thought could help with the hooks hanging down would be an install that used a piece of heavy-walled square tubing. Bolt holes through it would fasten it to the frame, then holes at 90 degrees to the first holes could be punched through it to fasten the hooks. This way the hooks would mount parallel to the ground, rather than perpendicular.

Might save an inch or two, but the front of the tubing might tend to hang-up more than just the hook hanging down in the rocks.

Thanks greentruck. I picked them up at Pricess Auto, similar to Harbour Freight down your way. I dont know who makes them, but I will tell you this, they do grind granite.
I needed them for teck inspection ( scrutinizing ) for River Shiver 2010 and left them on since.
