We have a few left in stock, more than I'm wanting/needing to keep in the 'Kurt hoard' pile. LMK if you're interested in one.

Getting ready to pull the last few of these off our website. If anyone is dying to have OEM please, PM me. Otherwise we have a Japanese (JBS) kit, our part# CSK35011K in stock and should for the immediate future.

She dead... 04446-30010, our part# ST30010

The headstone is a wonderful tribute.

Ironically the pump the 04446-30010 kit services, recently came back to life via the GR Heritage program. We've got a handful of them. Coincidence?

A few more die :(

However, these *may* end up in the GRH program? I suspect that because other lights are now in the GRH program. Same light... different plug :D

Hello Kurt

What is you opinion or the fact on the WHY Toyota made only the RH / passenger side available all these past years , while the Drivers side remained Disc. / NLA. ?

Since none of the single related parts are interchangeable, minus the 4 lens screws and the interior metal light shades .

do you think or know parts like this are produced in even LH and RH qty. #,s or is it more likely the individual lamp assy. Part numbers are produced based on there individual demand ?

I have never heard of anyone ever saying , they replaced one rear tail lamp this past weekend …?

LH's were available in just recent years under certain part numbers. There was an application that RH was NLA and LH was available. Now it's just grim.

This plug can't be that hard to find, right? I would think one can just swap the plug on the '79+ lamps?

5 wire versus 4 wire but yes, that's entirely a good option. We've done that during spells others are hard to find.

Here's the nightmare scenario:
All parts for vintage models get redirected into the GRH program, where they charge twice the price if you're able to access it!

It's certainly possible. I've had some great conversations with manufacturers about it. Best case if that happens. When they eliminate them from the GRH program, they end up in aftermarket programs. Koyari-san lands here tomorrow, I've got a long list of part numbers and questions to catch-on over a beer.

Given that each GRH part has a limited production run, it really doesn't bode well for the future.

My sincere hope is for GRH to be a program where parts are reborn, rather than where parts go to die.

both 4 wire plugs above in Kurt's post use the older and much wider 6.3mm solid brass terminals , the oval 6pin connectors on the 79+ lamps use a much smaller 2.2mm tin terminal , so simply swapping plugs like on the 2 older lamps between one another is not that simple , plus the oval 79+ plugs have the updated 5 ground wire white w/ black tracer stripe ...

- i can see NLA / disc. the 2 older square 4 wire plug lamps , but could never understand for as memory serves me , the whole RH only available topic has been going on longer then 5+ years now .............until well ..now i guess right ?

- i too like Roger , have a sense of the WHY the oval 6pin 12V lamps are suddenly on the Gazoo Racing list of fresh releases ?

- the trend has been they are or get axed from normal global availability like now or tomorrow ?

- perhaps the TOYOTA mindset is the now to transition to the generation 5 & generation 6 round 5-pin O-ring sealed plugs finally ? if so then somebody at TOYOTA is at the controls here , if not ? then its a Run-Away tail lamps train out of control ....?

- Roger , you mentioned the swapping of plugs , the below tech. image is of the device or lamp side 4-pin splash-proof's w/ orange foam gasket's inside , both it and the harness side mating matching buddies ( Female ) have never been availble anywhere , going back to the 1990's , these are Generation 2 plugs .....

- Kurt and Roger :

see TECH link here , i did a compressive study and thread on the entire 40 Series Tail Lamps Connector Plugs broad brush topic many years ago ,it gets into all points touched on above , including retrofitting all the plugs newer to older and vise versa , it will better explain perhaps , why the recent Gazoo addition of the OVAL 6pin lamps makes NO logical sense , at least to me anyway ....

matt ...

Koyari-san is living the life jetting around the world having Cruiser fun. 🤘🤘

Definitely been curious for a while on the game plan with the heritage parts program. Could be a last breath/ditch effort for these parts before they are NLA forever vs just discontinuing them for good as has been the paradigm before.

Still lots of 40 parts available, I’m always impressed with things my local dealership can get.

Here are some parts I got recently for my 4/72 Fj40 FST. I have 1f f155, 3spd manual on the floor.

Valve springs
Valve cover gasket and valve cover grommets
Oil filler cap
Coolant temp sensor (for gauge)
Battery tray incl. all associated bolts, washers, etc.
new headlight kit is excellent
Stoplight switch (for brake lights, under pedal)
E brake switch
Backup light switch (reverse light)
In the past couple of years I bought all new lights, incl. (4) side markers, front blinkers (fender mount), rear reflectors and housings, rear brake lights
Clutch arm rubber boot thingy.
The spacers for the front bib.
Spark plug wires
Coolant pipe with heater outlet
Thermostat with bolts
Radiator hose clamps
Voltage regulator

USA dealership websites often don’t go back to 1972 so I typically have to find part numbers on partsouq, amayama, megazip, toyodiy, etc.

Also, grateful for cruiserteq, City Racer, fjparts.com, vintageteqparts, redline, etc. for extra bits that are NLA or dealer cannot get.

Another one bites the dust :(

90919-02083 (we sold as part# IGN02083)

The last ones went into the 'Kurt stash' upstairs at the shop, it's now resting next to the 90919-02111 ignition coils that went NLA a few year back.
