First off hello everyone!

Alright, here's the scenario. I have a Toytec lift (( 3 1/2")) and just put on some MT MTZ's 33/12.50/17's on stock steels. No rubbing whatsoever.. These clear my body mounts by 1 1/2" at full flex. Kinda interesting, I think.

However, I've only got maybe 1/4" between the tire and my UCA. Will aftermarket UCA's give me more room between the Tire and the UCA. If I air down I'll almost certainly rub the stock UCA.

Also wondering if those 1/4" Spacer ring would give me enough clearance.

I'm leaning towards the All Pro or the Total Chaos UCAs

Thank you guys!

Whaz Up! I can't help ya with the uca, just call them and see what they say. The spacer would deffinetly solve the proplem, but i personely don't like them at least for off-roading. Whats the width of the stock steelies? If there 7.5 those mtz are going to be wider than 12.5 now that there mounted. Are coming to the OBX or Fall Colors run?

Hey Todd,

I will definitely be at GWNF, I'd also like to make the OBX run, but need a place to crash. I prefer camping, just need to get the low down on where everyone is staying?

So I'll see you at GWNF at least and maybe OBX if I can find a place to camp out.

Dan

While aired down I've only ever had the tire mushroom on the bottom where it contacts the ground. the upper control arm should never change the distance to the tire unless something is broken. the only time the tire could contact the UCA would be when the upper portion of the tire is pushed over by say a bank or rock, spacing for this would be foolish IMO. this could happen with a stock tire

The root cause of the issue is not the UCA. Look into wheels with the proper back spacing to move the tire away from the UCA.
