CruisinTiger said:Yeah I'm not sure how much they run, there is a heating/AC company called PECO in central here, I have used them to fix my heating and they were by far the cheapest on labor and parts and do a very good job, might call them and see what they quote you...they may have a better cost vs the Internet...and like Andy said you can always put it in later if you use the garage more often

Hmmmm - GFCI outlets in the kitchen along the counter keep tripping.
Hmmmm - one of these outlets seems to be loose from the wall (new house is a log home and much has to be mounted outside the walls).
Hmmmm - when I touch the loose outlet and it moves power comes and goes to other GFCI outlets in kitchen.
Hmmmm - POs didn't label most of the breakers so how in the heck do I know which to switch off? Heck, lets go for it!
Hmmmm - I managed to partially take apart the loose outlet and why is there what appears to be a burnt black spot inside the outlet box?
Hmmmm - appears there is a broken wire that was making an intermittent connection and shorting out all outlets in the kitchen.
Hmmmm - looks like this outlet box was working on burning the new house down.
Hmmmm - and write this down as yet another 'pre existing condition' that the POs did not inform us about and which they were legally bound to do so.

bummer about that Steve, atleast you found the issue before it caused reall problems. Tell your home inspector you want your money back!!
and are you sure about the home owners having to disclose that info?? I am just curious![]()
