Nothin like waking up in the morning and seeing the neighbor with his dog on a leash s***ting in my yard...I was pissed...promptly went and got the shovel and slung it back in his yard while he watched me...are there any laws against shooting a dog if he is in your yard?

Okay it is a slow day at work and this forumn is dead....

Oral arguements begin today in the Supreme Court on the constitutionality of the goverment mandate in Obama Care.... begin discussion

You see the healthcare GPS program on CNN over the weekend? Was interesting. Examined different countries and their healthcare policy.

The most interesting was S Korea. Completely government insured/run with private doctors. Everyone is covered.

I think it could work here with our existing system if they could bump up the oversight. We have a really poor accountability system.

Didn't see that, but S Korea sounds essentially like what we are headed for here, goverment "single payer" system with private doctors. Borders on the ideals of Fascism i.e. goverment controlled private enterprise..... and truly the last thing I want is a bureaurocrat in control of my healtcare.

My real concern though with all this health care hoopla is the individual mandate by the goverment as that is a slippery slope I don't believe we want to head down. Prior to this the instance the goverment has not had the power to tell a citizen of this country that they must buy any product, in this case insurance. If this stands it opens the door wide open and there is not telling where it stops. It is my firm belief the goverment has no constitutional authority in the case but we shall see. And to be honest I don't believe most people undstand or care about the ramificaitons of this on our individual liberties

Isn't it only animal cruelty if the dog lives?? Guess I'll have to get a silencer for the gun... And it's one thing for a dog to not be on a leash and s*** in your yard but when the F'ing neighbor has him on a leash and let's the dog do it is a whole different story....next time I'm gonna dump it in his mailbox

I'm going to quote you on that one. Basically you got caught trying to do some redneck rafting and your cooler didn't float.

Why not just asking him to pick up his dog's crap? My dog dumps all the time in other people's yard close to the side walk. That's why i carry plastic bags.

right now we have a private system that has basically agreed to run up the costs of healthcare by leveraging the volume/odds.

America's healthcare costs are 8x higher than most other countries with the same or better care. I don't really care which model works, I just want there to be a good decision made with real accountability so we don't end up in the ditch.

I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen today. Urghh. I guess falling out of my lap while getting out of the 80 wouldn't work.

Obviously there is much room for improvement in the current healthcare systems both in the private and goverment relm.

Again my concern was the big picture of the Individual mandate and its ramifications, the supreme courts decision in this matter is huge as it will set the precedent for the reach of the goverment's domain over our personal liberties.

Like I said it was a slow day at work and I was curious to see what others thought :meh:

Last night on the news they were throwing out health statistics and percentages and the s***ty thing is our health care sucks compared to what it costs world wide...and the govt already tells what we can do other wise we already would of had more advanced stem cell technology, we'd have more advanced drugs for HIV, possibly a cure for aids. This is just one more way the govt is tryin to control us...do you think Magic Johnson would have been able to subside the aids virus by taking American drugs...hell no, that's why he goes overseas for his treatment

I shouldn't have to take responsibility for his dog...if he's going to have a dog then he needs to be responsible for it......it boils down to them being inconsiderate bastards....the dog is on a leash not running wild

Chuck you have had a 40 in your back yard with 4 flat tires for years. Pretty sure that is pretty inconsiderate. How's that make the neighborhood look?

On a different note. I finally got to take the boat out this weekend and do some fishing.
