when i was a kid i grew up with a pond below our house so i spent most of my summer breaks fishing.

then i turned 21 and spent most of my fishing trips drinking and pretending fishing

now i don't drink and spend my fishing trips baiting hooks, repairing broken lines and yelling "don't stand so close to the water". Between those tasks and dodging fishing poles being swung wildy in the air i still don't get much fishing done on fishing trips like i did when i was a kid.

but your right...fishing is more rewarding watching your kid do it. Every fish he catches he has a look on his face like it's the greatest thing on earth.

When he was about 2 i was surf fishing and caught a ladyfish...or shark...i can't remember what it was but it was small.

I told him to give it a kiss for good luck before i threw it back and maybe i'd catch a lot more. To this day he remembers that and if i throw back a fish without him blowing the fish a kiss it's like i just stole his favorite toy.

Good info on the Roku, Carp who sells the wdtv? Rick I'm hoping that with the new version of the Roku and the remote that it will have more options, the reviews I was reading were pretty positive on the new model, and I'm hoping that with an antenna for local channels it will satisfy my appetite. I thought about a blueray but my tv is ten years old plus I've got like 3 DVD players floating around...maybe one day I'll be able to have a dedicated computer that I can stream off the net.

Chuck if you have a 10yo TV then you will need to get a digital tuner to plug that antenna into. Those should run you about $40-50.

The antenna is a digital antenna, one of the new ones that came out when everything went digital, will I still need the tuner?

Yeah, you still need a digital tuner (basically a decoder box). Even an older "analog" antenna will work if connected to a digital tuner. "Digital antennas" (powered or non-powered) are just a marketing ploy to get you to buy another set of rabbit ears.

You may consider just going to wally world and getting a 27" lcd for $150 instead of throwing money into the digital tuner box. All new TV's have digital tuners already built in...just add rabbit ears.

took my sister and her 3yr old trout fishing sat with my 3 yr old

my sis had to get a fishing lic. on the way.

My sister ended the day with 4 trout and countless horny heads/brim

i got 1 trout and a few horny heads/brim

she owned me.

threw back the trout that didn't get hooked in critical areas...kept the ones that were not going to live after release and had them for dinner sat night.

The 3 yr olds were not interested in eating the trout after they watched me clean them.

Ground clearance miscalculation.

As a GT Industrial Design alum, it has always boggled me as to why someone doesn't redesign those things to collapse further up under the trailer.

At least it didn't hit the power line... Hate for the upstanding residents of that side of Greenvegas to be without power on such a warm day...
