Hello,

I am currently in my modification planning phase.

I am going to install OME lift and I want a good tyre size for the LC. So it looks flush with the fenders and has an aggressive offroad look.

I passed by BFG dealer and suggested All terrain 275/70/16 tyres but do they look weak on the LC ?

can I install 315/75/16 or thats too extreme ?

You have not stated how big is your lift, 2", 3" or 4".

There nothing wrong with BFG AT, as for 315, fit one and see how it is.

Hi All:

Yes, which model & year of 70 Series Land Cruiser do you have?

Normally Old Man Emu (OME) suspension kits lift the vehicle 50 to 75mm (2 to 3 inches) depending upon the specific spring used.

You can fit a much bigger diameter tire, but that larger tire will rub the body sheet metal if you are really using the '70 for off-road (i.e. lots of suspension travel) versus driving to the Mall. :D  :meh:

Regards,

Alan

Also depends what engine you've got in your cruiser. I've read several places on this forum that you don't want to go more than 33" with the 3B.

I just purchased a LC79 pickup with a 4.0 litre engine 248hp. I intially wanted a 3door LC71 but changed my mind because it takes another 3 months to arrive. It's a GCC spec for the middle east.

33" is what tyre size recomended for offroad use lots of suspension travel without rubbing ?
