That sucks, Anderson. at least it was close to home, and not out in the middle of nowhere. what year is your 80? I've got a top end from my 97 if the issue is up there.

If the 80 is truly toasted, does this apply? or too soon?

The kids were bad-mouthing poetry the other day saying how boring it is. I came to its defense with the spooky poems of Poe and this one from Coleridge...and that gave me an excuse to play the Maiden song for them too. Who says heavy metal can't be a learning experience? Maiden brings stories to life in a most spectacular way. Love me some Iron Maiden!

Don't put a 1FZ with a blown head gasket into a truck. That's silly. PM me, I'll come pick up the pieces when you're ready.

While out exploring some local Class VI roads this past weekend, Seamus and Aaron learned the first rhyme in the poem about that man. They had laughter aftershocks for several hours afterwards.

Gutting out the interior today had a mold problem from something in the cargo area and back seats had to throw away some camping stuff I didn’t feel like cleaning up but was a good excuse to order a carpet set and bandaid the rust under the carpets till something more permanent can be done.

Also remembered that I had forgotten that the gasket that was connecting the exhaust to the header had fell apart into a bunch of pieces so I made one from a cut your own felt pro kit at Napa.

Skyywalker . . .

I have a three strikes your out policy on music w/ the kids. Once I hear three cusswords, it goes off the stereo, mostly in the car.

So after a while, my kids were like "Dad, you don't just understand kids these days, we just listen to music that isn't as nice as when you were our age."

I finally got fed up and played them some 2Live Crew, bootleg Skyywalker, some classic raunchy Motorhead - worst stuff I could find that I listened to from time to time in HS.

Kids were like "turn it off that is horrible" and then "OK - you are right, you did listen to some horrible stuff."
 
Motörhead? Horrible? Nah. Play them some early Pink Floyd. I’ll just pick one. How about A Saucerful of Secrets? Now THAT, my friend, is HORRIBLE!





I rest my case.
