TVR?

When I bought my FJ in July '06 my insurance listed the 'make' as TVR. I asked them to check and reconfirm that, and they did.

I recently asked them to check it again, still the same.

Based on my VIN it shows as being a TVR - what the heck is a TVR?

TVR is an english sports car maker recently bought by a russian tycoon. Not Toyota.

I know about that TVR. I'm just curious as to why my insurance identifies my FJ as a TVR.

My insurance calls my 1971 FJ40 a Lexus.
