I have a 1994 2.8 diesel 4runner with 2" lift and am wanting to put a turbo in it. The body has done 280k kms but the a reconditioned engine was put in 50k kms ago. Any thouhgts? Will the engine cope? how should i do it? Where should i get parts? (i live in Sydney Australia btw)

thanks

hey mate im about to turbo my 3b and have researched plenty on what to do so i dont blow up my engine.
as the engine is freshly rebuilt i would say it will be able to take a turbo and if you run low boost 5-10psi it should last years but on how to go about it it depends on your budget if money is no object find some one who is very reputable and does diesel turbo upgrades all the time and he will give a great package if you are watching every penny ebay can give you a toyota ct20 made for the 2.8 for around about $400 AUD and depending on how handy you are you can then build your own turbo manifold exhaust and all teh other stuff you need or you can try and source turbo parts of a factory turbo 2.8. hope this helps you
